Help! Where to buy shoes?

Recently I discovered an online store who ships stuff from online stores to here in the Philippines at a lower cost compared to other sites. Anyway, I've already exhausted everything I know about online shopping and I've ran out of sites to look into. I'm in the search for great, affordable (actually in the brink of cheap) shoes. I usually check out clearances or sales because some shoes are really out of my budget and haven't you noticed that most of the shoes that are sold here are already marked down in the online store? Some of them are Aldo and Nine West. KAINIS.

Am I Seeing Double?

Do you remember how famous the Jessica Simpson Dany Platforms were in fashion blogs? Okay, they're still famous because I would love to wear one if only I wouldn't look like a tower because these are sky high and I'm 5'5. Awkward. My boyfriend will kill me. Anyway, almost all fashion blogs that I've been following has this pair and everyone said that it's amaaazing. I wouldn't disagree. It's great as is or with socks.


When I was browsing an online shop, guess what I saw! Jeffrey Campbell's Foxy Platform. It's almost identical! The colors of the JC platforms are black and tan but with lighter colored heels.

I'm not entirely sure which one came out first so I don't have the right to say anything about the designers but what I could say is that I still like the Jessica Simpson platforms because the color combination is better and they really look fierce!

Camera Dilemma

I've been contemplating whether or not I should buy an SLR soon. I'll be graduating soon and that means freedom! I could now go to trips and overnights! Which means more opportunities for beautiful photos! I have my Canon G11 and it's really amazing. I love the pictures and it's very customizable like SLRs but I can't help wanting to have better pictures whenever I go out and that means a semi-professional camera. I don't really know much about cameras but I'm willing to learn, I just don't have the time.

I know people say that to have great photos, we don't need the best camera but let's face it, in a way, we do! So now, I don't know what to get, either a Nikon or a Canon SLR and what model? Of course, I can't afford the most expensive and I'm not in a hurry because I still need to save up for it. I just need some options and suggestions.

Please help me out. Thanks! :)

Shoe Haul from C&K and Aldo

I got two pairs this weekend. I needed some "office" shoes so my mom and I went out this weekend to buy some low-heel and flat pairs. Here's what I got from Charles and Keith and Aldo.


Here's the heels I got from Aldo. They're mid to low heel, snug fit, not the most comfortable but it'll do. I love that it's low heel compared to my other pairs. With this, I could actually walk around in it, no problems. It's actually similar to my Schutz heels but those were higher.



My feet aren't the sexiest so please bear with me. :)


Next is the flats I got from Charles and Keith. I love it because I got it in my size and it's really comfortable to use! I got to use them the whole day today and no complaints from my feet! I'm starting to really like Charles and Keith and will probably buy more when I start working. Hehe :)

Revlon ColorStay Lipsticks

I got the ColorStay Lipsticks from Revlon. By the way, this is still included in my auntie's pasalubong. She really gave us a lot and we are beyond thankful. Anyway, I got two colors, Soft Cinnamon and Satin Rosewood. How come MAC cosmetics have funkier names? Hehe ;)

Anyway, I enjoy wearing these colors because they do last a long time and they are really pigmented. Here are some pics:

As I was applying it the first time, it was shocking. I never thought a lipstick could be this smooth and pigmented. This is the first swipe of the Soft Cinnamon and see how it is so pigmented. One swipe is all you need. Here are some pictures of the lipstick.
I have to admit it is kind of glittery and frosty but honestly, I don't mind because it's not a "normal" frosty lipstick and the glitter is like part of the color and not "added". Okay, I'm not sure if I'm making sense. It's hard to describe this. Haha.

I like wearing this with a bare face and a toned down outfit like maybe a white shirt and faded boyfriend jeans and my black platform heels. For the make-up, a good foundation like the Revlon PhotoReady Foundation and my Chanel blush and black liner.

Next is Satin Rosewood. It's an everyday color which is probably a dupe for most of my lipsticks. It's very wearable, MLBB and not a loud color.

No need for pros and cons because it's a superb product and the only con is that it stinks. Like it came from an expired container or formula. It really stinks. I saw my friend having the same product and she really loves it too. She has almost emptied it and I asked her if it really stinks (because maybe what I got is expired though it was sealed) and she said it's really like that. The Revlon ColorStay foundation also has a weird smell so I guess it's in the formula of the ColorStay products. Although after application, the scent goes away. Maybe it's the container? I really don't know.

Anyway, if you're really going for long lasting color and very pigmented lipsticks, I recommend this product as long as your nose isn't that sensitive. :)

Movies & TV Series I've Recently Watched

I like how witty and funny this movie is. It's so smart and funny at the same time! The characters are great and the stories are actually realistic. She plays a lawyer here but in another life. I don't want to say the story really because I don't want to ruin it for you!

Okay, so it's a new story, not as predictable as I thought and generally very entertaining though I didn't really like the general "theme" of the story. Angelina Jolie is still the best and I don't think anyone could do it except her.

I'm someone who appreciates a good romcom but action movies are my favorite too! Some people don't like this because they say it doesn't have much story or it's too violent. I say it's violent because it's an action movie and to have a cast like that is just superb. I just wish Stallone could speak better. :) I really like this one and it brings out the "boy" in me. :)

Probably one of the best shows I've watched. This is kind of a girly teenage series but I really like the mystery and thriller-effect it gives. Not too creepy that you can't watch it at night and I really love the characters especially the blondie and Spencer. You should give this a try! You'll enjoy it!

Okay, I put this in my list because I got to watch it on HBO. I actually had a copy of the movie for months and after watching the first few minutes, I stopped because I got bored. This is the second time I got to watch this movie and I actually finished it. Very predictable, not so many funny scenes and it was just too corny in general.

This movie rocks! I wanna have a minion! Haha! This movie is just HI-LAR-IOUS. Actually, there were no boring parts and it won't just make you giggle, it will make you scream and really laugh out loud! I suggest you watch this now and it's better to watch it in the movie house than to just get the DVD. I really love this film! I gave it a perfect score!

NYX Round Lipstick Haul

I've seen a lot of posts about the NYX Round Lipsticks because they are cheap and there are a lot of colors available!

The colors I got are: Power, Thalia, Tea Rose, Circe and Paris. Here are some pictures of the lipsticks.





Power is a very pale pink, kind of a lavander color which I adore. It's almost the same shade as the Viva Glam Gaga lipstick and also my The Face Shop Semi-Matte lipstick. This is a totally wearable color which I can mix with other colors.


Next is Thalia. It's kind of a dark rose color which I think is too dark and makes me look old. Sorry. I don't like this and I won't probably use this one except if I wear it with another color.

And then, there's Paris. Its not as pale as Power, actually a few shades brighter and it has that moisturizing effect which I like.

Tea Rose is like Paris but with a hint of coral. It's nice, very wearable like Paris.



And lastly, there's Circe which is the only nude lipstick I bought. It's a natural nude color and it does wash you out but after a while, it blends with my natural lip color and makes it really nice. It's actually pigmented that it covers the color of my lips. It means that it's not sheer like other nude lipsticks. I love this one!

Verdict: I've always loved NYX Round Lipsticks! They're all very moisturizing and the colors are great!

I got 3 lipsticks before and this is my second NYX haul. When I have the money, I'd probably get some more! :)
