Movie Review: Repo Men

I watched Repo Men last night and it was fantastic. Some people might not like it because it's bloody - very bloody, but I don't mind since I rarely cringe at the sight of blood but only in movies! Hehe.

Anyway, it was nice to see Jude Law again in a movie along with Forest Whitaker. Jude Law's body in this movie is just super! I love it! I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good action movie. The story, concept, effects and twists are awesome. If you liked The Tourist, you'll like this too!

Movie Review: The Tourist

I watched The Tourist first day it came out in the Philippines. I've heard and read a lot of bad reviews about this movie. Some even say that it's a flop in other countries. But still, I wouldn't miss an Angelina Jolie x Johnny Depp movie. I watched it with the BF. Here are some poster photos and BTS photos from the movie.
Please click photos for photo sources
After watching the movie, I now know why it's a flop in other countries. My friend said it best - "hindi nila kinaya yung ending". Until the last few minutes, you'll be clueless - completely clueless. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. A movie this unpredictable and well-made is the reason why I started loving movies. I suggest you watch it.

Until now, I'm still drooling over AJ's outfits, jewelry and beauty. As for JD - his look is still the same but it works for me. I love the tandem. It was so unrealistically real. Haha!

Here's the trailer in case you haven't seen it yet -

Review: Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

I finally got to watch Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps yesterday even when I haven't watched the first movie. I've always liked Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas so teaming up wasn't a bad idea.

First, here are the poster and some shots from the movie:

The movie was only 2 hours but it felt like three maybe because the first part of the movie was quite slow, bordering boring. If you are not a wall street guy or not practicing or has not studied anything about stocks, finance or business in general, you might not be able to digest everything. I am currently taking up Economics and had a few classes on finance but still, I wasn't able to fully understand their jargon. However, you'll get the story, but not the specifics.

Acting wise, I wasn't thrilled. LaBeouf, Douglas and Mulligan were so-so, nothing fantastic about their acting. The story was good but not the best. Maybe the first one was better?

Let's see.

What do you think? Have you seen it?

Movies & TV Series I've Recently Watched

9/10
I like how witty and funny this movie is. It's so smart and funny at the same time! The characters are great and the stories are actually realistic. She plays a lawyer here but in another life. I don't want to say the story really because I don't want to ruin it for you!

8/10
Okay, so it's a new story, not as predictable as I thought and generally very entertaining though I didn't really like the general "theme" of the story. Angelina Jolie is still the best and I don't think anyone could do it except her.

9/10
I'm someone who appreciates a good romcom but action movies are my favorite too! Some people don't like this because they say it doesn't have much story or it's too violent. I say it's violent because it's an action movie and to have a cast like that is just superb. I just wish Stallone could speak better. :) I really like this one and it brings out the "boy" in me. :)

9/10
Probably one of the best shows I've watched. This is kind of a girly teenage series but I really like the mystery and thriller-effect it gives. Not too creepy that you can't watch it at night and I really love the characters especially the blondie and Spencer. You should give this a try! You'll enjoy it!

6/10
Okay, I put this in my list because I got to watch it on HBO. I actually had a copy of the movie for months and after watching the first few minutes, I stopped because I got bored. This is the second time I got to watch this movie and I actually finished it. Very predictable, not so many funny scenes and it was just too corny in general.
10/10
This movie rocks! I wanna have a minion! Haha! This movie is just HI-LAR-IOUS. Actually, there were no boring parts and it won't just make you giggle, it will make you scream and really laugh out loud! I suggest you watch this now and it's better to watch it in the movie house than to just get the DVD. I really love this film! I gave it a perfect score!

Movie List: Conviction

Since one of my favorite "hobby" is to watch trailers, I went to apple.com/trailers and got to see Conviction. This is a drama story starring Hilary Swank, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, Melissa Leo, Peter Gallagher and Juliette Lewis. This is about his brother getting convicted for a murder. What she did is she got into law school, became a lawyer and worked on the case of his brother. 15 years in the making.

This movie looks promising and not to mention, star studded. Hope this gets shown in the Philippines.

Here's the poster and the trailer. Enjoy!

This can be a movie blog too

So since I was a small girl, our family's favorite past time is to watch movies. Either in the big screen or at home. So I've created a list which I actually add to as I see more and more trailers. Although I don't get to watch all, I make sure to get a digital copy of it so I could watch it at home.

This list began late last year and up to now I still add a few new movies every now and then.

Here are the sites I go to to watch trailers:
