Review: Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

I finally got to watch Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps yesterday even when I haven't watched the first movie. I've always liked Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas so teaming up wasn't a bad idea.

First, here are the poster and some shots from the movie:

The movie was only 2 hours but it felt like three maybe because the first part of the movie was quite slow, bordering boring. If you are not a wall street guy or not practicing or has not studied anything about stocks, finance or business in general, you might not be able to digest everything. I am currently taking up Economics and had a few classes on finance but still, I wasn't able to fully understand their jargon. However, you'll get the story, but not the specifics.

Acting wise, I wasn't thrilled. LaBeouf, Douglas and Mulligan were so-so, nothing fantastic about their acting. The story was good but not the best. Maybe the first one was better?

Let's see.

What do you think? Have you seen it?

  1. i actually like it even though i didn't understand most of the financial talks.. hehehe..i was still able to get the jist though :p i super liked shia on this film... compared to his past roles were he was dorky.. i find him smart and hot :) hehe

  2. i agree but not as hot as his role in transformers :) hehe
