I've been hearing a lot of BBs and they are supposedly very good because it doesn't only moisturize but it also evens out your face - more like a tinted moisturizer. When I was asking the SA at the MAC counter in Duty Free, she recommended this primer for me. This is my first ever BB cream/primer so I can't really compare this to any other primers. I'm not even sure if this is really a primer because based on other blogs I read, it's supposed to be like a tinted moisturizer or a make up base like Dr. Jart's.
Based on my research this is not available in MAC counters or even online and this is only available in DFS. This is also not the best primers they released. However, I find it useful and very good. First, it is a good primer because it made my foundation easier to apply and it also made my skin almost flawless. It kept my foundation intact and it minimized my dry spots. My blush on stayed longer than usual which is good because my blush on usually fades only after a few hours. It also didn't make me oily (though I only used this once and at night - will give another review when I use it during day time). The runny texture wasn't a big deal because it dries up eventually. It also has SPF 35 which is good. I can actually smell it so if that doesn't annoy you, this should be okay.
It's more on the pink side rather than most foundations which are more on the cream or beige colors.
Ta-dah! It really blends well on my skin and it's just the right color. It doesn't give me the white mask when taking pictures which is a good thing.
Check this product out at Duty Free - I think that is the only place you'll get this.

MAC Lovelorn
This is part of my latest haul from duty free - my beloved MAC Lovelorn in Lustre finish just like my Viva Glam Gaga pale pink lipstick. I don't know why but I keep on buying MAC lipsticks in pink.
Anyway, this has been my go to lipstick for a pink shade. I love that it's a cute pink - it brightens my face even without a strong eye color.
As always, MAC delivers and I love it. I just wish it wasn't so expensive so I could get a lot of colors. I guess I just have to wait for my relatives or friends from the US to buy for me or something. Is it also cheaper in Singapore?
Anyway, I seriously could finish the tube in no time because even on a plain day, I could use this and it'll brighten my face without trying too hard. For my date last night, I opted to use this, the MAC BB face primer (review soon), Revlon ColorStay Foundation, Chanel blush and my forever favorite Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto mascara. I felt like people were staring at me for the first time - hopefully not for the wrong reasons and I really liked the result. Simpe make-up but wow results. YEY!

So I decided to change my site name..
Bye bye Make-up, Fashion and Movies and hello to MIAMAZING.
Why the big change? It's because the old blog name is what I do but not who I am. I decided to change it because I want this blog to represent who I am. I'm not going to totally change its content and what I blog about but it will change a bit. I'm trying to change my banner - BF and I are working on it.
Why MIAMAZING? Well, this "name" started back in highschool when my friend, actually backmate, made up this name for me. Thanks to Shari for this who is also a super fashionista and a blogger.
I'm sooo excited!
By the way, my site's url is www.miyamazing.blogspot.com just because miamazing is already taken. Haha!!

Movie Review: I Am Number Four
The other day, my brother and I got home early from work so we and his wife went to watch a movie. My brother didn't want to watch Black Swan or any other movie so we watched I Am Number Four. I am pretty surprised with the movie because I thought it will be boring old school love story-action flick for teenagers but amazingly, it amused me to the extent that I want to see more. Too bad it had a bitin ending. Plus, Number Six is super hot.

Movie Review: Black Swan
I watched Black Swan tonight with the BF and he was bummed because he really wanted to see Unkown - too bad there were no more good seats. I was actually shocked to find out that Unknown is almost sold out while Black Swan still has a lot of seats left. Maybe Pinoys doesn't want to watch a thriller?
I myself is not a fan of scary movies but this is an exception because I really heard great reviews about it and ever since the trailer, I wanted to watch it. I didn't even know if it will be shown here.
Anyway, I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10. I really like it, especially the ballet parts and the freaky parts but not the horror-ish parts. Good thing the BF is there. Hehe.
Here are the posters and trailer and I hope you watch it.
Please, don't wait for the DVD. Or dibidi. :))

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Rich (Creme)
As of today, I own 6 Super Lustrous Lipstick from Revlon. I'm super happy with all of them and the newest addition to my collection is Berry Rich. I got this from my Duty Free trip last week. Though they only have a few colors for the Super Lustrous line, I'm happy I got the Berry Rich lipstick. It's a muted red, more like the color or red wine. It's not too loud like my Chanel Gabrielle. It's more wearable and more like an everyday lipstick.
I got it for only $7.50 which is definitely cheaper than retail price. YEY!
This is the lip swatch. Used it yesterday to work. The staying power is strong. The whole afternoon it stayed on my lips and was very happy about it. Although after eating, it fades a bit and leaves an outer lipliner-ish stain. The formula is so creamy that it's not too shiny but very moisturizing.
Haul from Duty Free
I was in Duty Free again last week and of course, my favorite section there is the Beauty Walk. There are a lot of brands out there like Chanel, MAC, Clinique, Revlon and others. After buying stuff in the kitchen area, I went to the Beauty Walk and checked out the counters. Here's the stuff I got from my Duty Free trip:

My Scent: Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege
I believe this perfume from Lanvin is quite old. It was released last 2003 but I only got to open the bottle a few weeks ago. The scent wasn't "washed-out" since it was sealed until a few weeks ago. I have to say that I regret not opening it earlier because the scent is so yummy. This Lanvin perfume could be used everyday for any occasion. By the way, the BF loves it! Haha! It's has a very girly but mature scent which I love and which also says a lot about me. It's not too powerful that it makes me dizzy.
For pricing, I'm really not sure but I checked some online sites and they are on sale. I'm also not sure if this is available at Rustan's but you should check this out if you're on the look-out for a nice perfume.

New Shoes from Aldo
Last week, I got the news from Purse and Co. that my orders have arrived. I got so excited because I've been waiting for them for a few months and I just can't wait to wear them. I ordered three pairs for this batch and they are all lovely except for one because of sizing issues.
The first pair I got is Aldo's Creger in Taupe. This is by far the best heels I bought from Aldo because they are super secure and super stable. I love the color, the fit and the style.
The second pair I got are flats and I got to use it today. It's super comfy, casual and versatile. I paired it with a polka-dot black and white dress and I love it! :)
P.S. My toe got injured the other day that's why it looks like that - not dead, but I think it bled. Yock.

EDIT: Okay, more like 90% Creger. Haha.

Now I'm lemming over these pairs. I don't know what to get. I love Creger in Taupe and I'm thinking about getting a pair in black. Or I could get Collicott in either Dark Brown or Bone. Decisions decisions. But I'm so in love with Creger so it's 70% Creger, 30% Collicott. HAHA!

Movie Review: Burlesque
Ben and I watched a movie this afternoon and we couldn't decide on which one to watch. I suggested Burlesque and he didn't like it at first but I got to force him so yey! Haha!
Here's a post last August 2010 when the first came out. I had to blog about it because I was really excited!
My gosh. Cher is still so pretty even when she's older now and Christina is so sexy. Perfect combination. Ben said that the plot was not that nice but I must say the performances, all the glitter and sensuality of this movie is A+. I especially love the last performance - Show Me How You Burlesque!
Here's the official and extended trailer of the movie and some videos from the movie:
Enjoy!

Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara
A typical make-up routine for me is just foundation, blush, lipstick, eyebrows. That's it but when I wanted to use my red lipsticks, I look very plain that's why I decided to use my Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara. I bought this in Sasa Macau because everything's cheaper there, plus they were on sale. I wanted to buy the big yellow mascara tube from Maybelline too but when I saw this, I had a good feeling about this. What I want in my mascara is for it to be waterproof, elongates my lashes and makes it really black.
I like the brush. They're not too long so you can actually use it on your lower lashes. The formula doesn't dry too quickly nor is it too runny so it has the perfect consistency. Doesn't take too long to dry if you want another coat.
Here is the before picture:
And here are the after photos:
As you can see, I'm really very happy with the results. So much that I use it almost every time I go out. I love it. It's my new accessory. Haha!
So, what's your favorite mascara of all time? I think I found mine. I might need to buy back-up supplies. Haha!
