Movie List: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Okay, so I'm really not a fan of Harry Potter. Maybe when it first started, I was kind of interested because it's actually a pretty entertaining read. I got to read the first four books then I got bored with it. It's kind of dragging but definitely very well thought of.

So, here's the poster and the trailer of the new movie (not sure if this is the real poster)

So of course, I have to include it in my movie list (which is also in my side bar) because I just have to see if it's good because it's the last book in the series. It will be shown in two parts. The first will be this December and the second part will be on July next year.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Haul: Adora/Schutz Shoe Sale

So, my mom and I went to Greenbelt 5 to check out the shoes. Last time they were on sale, my mom got to buy a cute slingback patent flats. Now that they're on sale again, we didn't think twice about going back. We actually needed silver or formal shoes for a wedding we'll be attending next month but unfortunately there weren't any because they were all fancy and casual wear.
The promo: 50-80% off + buy 1 take 1 (where else can you find a promo as awesome as this?)

I love Schutz. It's a Brazilian shoe brand who makes exquisite shoes. I love their high heels and flats!

Anyway, here are the pictures of what I got from the sale:

Yup! I got three pairs and the other three went to mom. Yey! So happy! There's even a four or five inch heels from the sale but mom said I shouldn't get it because it's too high and it's too fancy but if it wasn't that high, she liked it for me. Aww. Wish the heel was a bit thicker so it's more stable. Like this one that I got a few months ago. Even though it's five inches, it has a thick heel that's why it's easy to walk in. But still, I'm happy with the three I got!

Movie List: Little Fockers

Yes, I know, I've been blogging more about movies nowadays. Haha.

Anyway, I've just seen the trailer of Little Fockers. OMG. Looks like another fun Christmas movie from Ben Stiller. I've known that it'll come out since last year and just to see the trailer is so exciting. There's a bunch of newcomers such as Jessica Alba, Owen Wilson and more.

So, what do you think? Me, I can't wait. I'm not sure if the poster is already up, will upload soon as it is.

Here's the much awaited trailer:

Movie List: The Green Hornet

I wasn't really a fan of comic series and all but this one is interesting. I got to watch the trailer of The Green Hornet which is played by Seth Rogen. Yes, that funny guy from Knocked Up. Believe me, I was a bit skeptical about him playing that role. But who am I to judge? I don't really know the story so maybe he's really meant to play that part.

Note: Cameron Diaz will be in this movie but it looks like it's just a cameo.

Also in this movie are Jay Chou, Tom Wilkinson from Valkyrie, Edward James Olmos and Christoph Waltz from Inglorious Basterds.

Here's the trailer:

Movie List: Red - Retired Extremely Dangerous

Thanks to FirstShowing.com, I saw the trailer of RED. First thing that shocked me is Helen Mirren holding a machine gun. How cool is that? From her role in National Treasure, The Last Station and Elizabeth, now she holds a machine gun and loves it. This movie looks promising (like very other movie posts I make) because it has humor which is a big plus, action and wit. The humor factor is kind of tricky because I'm not really sure if it's going to be as funny as other heist-ish movies such as The Losers and The A-Team. It also stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Karl Urban and Richard Dreyfuss.

The cast is obviously a mature one since they have to play retired CIA agents who is on another mission to save the world, or something like that.

Here's the trailer. Tell me your thoughts.

Note: No poster yet. Will upload when available.

Movie Review: Knight and Day

It's my birthday today! And it's holiday today so woohoo! :) No classes and I had all the day to enjoy.

Anyway, met up with boyfie, we watched Knight and Day. We were actually supposed to watch Toy Story 3 but this was its first day so we decided to take the opportunity.

It's a good story actually, a lot of funny bits and not so many boring scenes. There's always action and the tandem is great. Tom Cruise is still living the Mission Impossible role, where he is actually good. Some of the fight scenes were unconventional which makes it interesting. Btw, I think he didn't age that much. Still handsome. Note: watch out for his abs!

Cameron Diaz, is as always, captivating with her beauty and wit. She never fails to deliver the jokes and I am amazed at how she's able to keep up with all the action. Note that even when someone's chasing her, she's still as stunning as ever, whatever she wears or whatever she does. She's still one of my favorite actresses in Hollywood. Note: if Tom shows off his abs in the movie, wait for Cameron's bikini bod!

Here's the poster of the movie
Here they are at the premier of Knight and Day in Spain (Oh gosh, those legs!)

Here are some snapshots from the movie:
Yup, you got it right. Bulls and bridesmaid's dress! Go watch it soon! It's a feel good movie that won't fail to deliver.

Movie List: Conviction

Since one of my favorite "hobby" is to watch trailers, I went to apple.com/trailers and got to see Conviction. This is a drama story starring Hilary Swank, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver, Melissa Leo, Peter Gallagher and Juliette Lewis. This is about his brother getting convicted for a murder. What she did is she got into law school, became a lawyer and worked on the case of his brother. 15 years in the making.

This movie looks promising and not to mention, star studded. Hope this gets shown in the Philippines.

Here's the poster and the trailer. Enjoy!

Haul: Mango

I went to Rockwell this morning because I had to accompany my nephew to his class. While he has there I had an hour of spare time. I heard a few days back that Mango will be on sale and I didn't hesitate. I went there right after dropping him off to his class. Since it was only around 12:15 in the afternoon, not so many people were there. I had the chance to look at almost everything since it wasn't really crowded. There weren't even any lines at the cashier. Here's what I got:
Pocket detail
Shoulder detail
Another green shirt with sequins
Shoulder detail

I know it's weird to buy two green shirts. The second one was supposed to be in white but when I saw the dark green one, I knew it would be slimming. Haha.

Thoughts?

Movie List: The Charonicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Thanks to excSHOESme, I was able to find 20th Century Fox's Facebook fan site. I got to see the newly released trailer of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I've included the trailer in this post so you could see how promising the new movie is.

When I was kid, I got to read the first book, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I thought it was an entertaining read until book two. I guess I had a lot of school works and other activities during that time that I wasn't able to read the second book anymore. I got shocked when I saw the trailer of the first movie. I almost thought it's not the same one but the title is exactly the same and it had a lion in it so it had to be the same.

I fell in love with the first movie and also the second one.

Here's the trailer of the third one. Enjoy!

Movie Review: The A-Team

Here are some of the official posters of the movie
Here's the poster from the original series:
Hannibal - George Peppard, Face - Dirk Benedict, Murdock - Dwight Schultz, Baracus - Mr. T

I really didn't know that this movie or series (?) was a remake because I've never heard of it before. I googled once again and it looks like it is a series and it ran from 1983-1987. I don't know how and why it ended, tho. Anyway, I'm not planning on watching the old series because I'm not a fan of old movies. Here's another trivia for you, kids. Two of the original cast were in the new one. D. Benedict was a Pensacola prisoner milt, and D. Schutz was one of the German doctors. (Source from imdb)

So here's Hannibal Smith played by Liam Neeson. I saw him last in the movies Clash of the Titans, Chloe and Taken. He's one of my favorite aged actors because he really plays the part well, either drama or action. I think in the old series, he's the one with the cigar, obviously. But in this remake, better cigar and less gray hair.

So here's Face who is played by Bradley Cooper who was last seen in Valentine's Day and The Hangover. I think he played the role well because he's very witty. Not as funny as the others but the wit is what makes him stand out. In the old picture, I think he's the one on the left because that guy is well dressed. In this version, Face is made a bit younger, I guess to compliment the ladies, or more specifically the role played by Jessica Biel.

Mad Murdock is played by Sharlto Copley. If you can remember, he's the main man in the movie District 9. I can't believe that he faked his accent in that movie. I thought he was a local. That is too good. But, it's also possible that he faked his English accent. I really can't tell but it shows that he's really amazing. Plus, he's also funny. I really like his role in the film. The balance of the four dudes is just amazing. He's easy to spot in the old photo, right?

Oooh. Baracus. The mean man in the movie. His name is Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. I'm really not familiar with him so I googled him and saw that he's a mix martial arts actor and also a former UFC title holder. He is just a perfect match to the old Baracus. Even the built and the mohawk is spot on. He's funny and I love how a big guy like him is scared of heights. Amazing irony.

Go and watch the movie while it's still out. You won't regret it.

Cheers!

Majorly Annoyed

I just have two words to perfectly describe how I am feeling: MONEY PROBLEMS.
I guess you fashionistas have heard that there is this massive Mango sale happening tomorrow. Since I am both a discount and impulsive buyer according to www.businessknowhow.com (I know, I googled it), I will of course have the urge to go shopping this Friday. But, I won't be able to since my bank account is getting dry because I got this baby for my birthday. Plus, I have a tooth surgery this Friday and I guess I have to be in bed for quite some time.

Okay, I must admit, this little baby is amazing- amazing for its size and quality but not for its price tag. I know it's already "cheap" because I bought it around Php10,000 cheaper but it's still a lot.

I guess I just have to close my eyes whenever I see a sale sign by the window. HAHA. It's the depression season. Haha.

I AM GOING CRAZY.

This can be a movie blog too

So since I was a small girl, our family's favorite past time is to watch movies. Either in the big screen or at home. So I've created a list which I actually add to as I see more and more trailers. Although I don't get to watch all, I make sure to get a digital copy of it so I could watch it at home.

This list began late last year and up to now I still add a few new movies every now and then.

Here are the sites I go to to watch trailers:

Trailers from FirstShowing
