Movie List: New Trailers

Just checked out iTunes Movie Trailers a while ago and I saw four new movies coming soon that are worth blogging.

First is Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. It's like a BTS movie shot in 3D. It's only going to be aired for two weeks in the US and probably here too! I know the Pinoy Gleeks will be waiting for this. My favorite characters are Artie, Blaine, Mike, Kurt, Santana, Brittany and Puck! Here's the trailer:

Second is a Scorsese film called Hugo. It's an animation which feels like a Harry Potter movie but kiddy-er than HP. It's entertaining and I doubt it would be shown in IMAX. Bummer. Plus, I love the girl from Kickass. She's a big girl now and she's so pretty! This movie is about mystery, secrets, fantasies and pure imagination. Watch the trailer and be amazed.

Next is something I'll probably be liking is John Carter. I believe this has something to do with time traveling. It's like Cowboys and Prince of Persia. LOL. Plus, it's played by Gambit aka Remy LeBeau from the Wolverine movie. I was kinda hoping it would be Gemma Arterton again to play the princess because that role fits her well. Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans proved that already. I can't wait!

Last but definitely not the least is Contagion which is a drama/action/infection movie which is quite mysterious and intriguing. Big names are in this movie like Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard and Kate Winslet. Who wouldn't want to see that? My only hesitation about movies like these are endings. Endings could make or break this. Hope it ends well.

What would you watch out of the four? Would love to hear from you guys!

Movie List: Burlesque

First of all, I just want to say that I am not a fan of Christina Aguillera and Cher but after this movie, I might be. I think it's going to be magical and it's one of those movies I want to watch over and over again, just like Iron Man. :)

Another plus for me is that the cast is amazing! I love Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet looks good and Alan Cumming.

Cast: Christina Aguilera, Cher, Kristen Bell, Eric Dane, Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough (who looks like Aguilera), Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell

I can't find a decent poster online so I'll just post the trailer

Movie List: Soul Kitchen

I haven't seen a movie/trailer as interesting, moving and as funny as this one. As you can see in the trailer, it's not your ordinary cooking/culinary/food movie. It's a mixture of comedy, life, love, inspiration, friendship, and family.

So I really don't know the actors since I believe this is a foreign film. So, I really can't give my opinion on that. I can, however, indulge you to watch this film when it comes out because it looks like a promising film where when you leave the cinema, there's going to be a smile on your face.

Movie List: Sucker Punch

Have you heard of the latest girl power movie? Well, here it is. Sucker Punch.

The main character is no, not Vanessa Hudgens. It's Emily Browning from hmm, I really don't know. I guess she starred in films I didn't watch. Anyway, Blondie is Vanessa Hudgens who is of course from the High School Musical. Next is Sweet Pea who is played by Abbie Cornish. She has starred in A Good Year. She had a small role as someone's daughter. I really can't remember. Next is Rocket. She's played by Jena Malone who has starred in a couple of movies but she's not that memorable if you ask me. Amber is played by Jamie Chung. She just recently played Chi Chi in Dragonball: Evolution. I just checked imdb.com and it looks like Dragonball will have a part 2. Lastly, we have Carla Gugino who will be playing Madame Gorski. We've already seen her in Race to Witch Mountain where she played the love interest of The Rock.

So I'm not really excited about the cast of this movie but the story seems nice as well as the effects. It's directed by Zack Snyder who also directed Watchmen and 300. As you can see in the posters and trailer, it gives off the same "darkness" and "gloominess" as in 300 and Watchmen. I won't be expecting a lot from this movie but I might give it a try because of the effects and the story line.

Movie List: Stone

Here's an unexpected film from Robert DeNiro, Edward Norton and Milla Jovovich. Robert DeNiro plays a parole officer who's determining whether Norton should be freed from his sentence. Being so obsessed on leaving the jail, Norton asks Jovovich to help him by manipulating and black-mailing DeNiro but then things got complicated. Love affairs happen, lies, sex and turning back on each other.

Here's the trailer! Imagine Edward Norton, braids and an accent. HAHA.

Movie List: The Company Men

Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Cooper. I think that is more than enough reason why we should all go see this movie. They are all Academy Award Winners in their own right.

The story is about one of the lead actors losing their job because of the recession. The story revolves on how they were very successful in the past, how they got fired, how they dealt with it and how they have come to accept and do something about it. This is very fitting because I know some people who got affected from the recession are still suffering. Here's an uplifting movie where we could all learn a trick or two.

No posters available yet. Here's the must-watch trailer, believe me, you have to.

Movie List: Buried

This is a super late post. I should be sleeping by now because I have stuff to do tomorrow. I've already taken out my contact lens so please bear with me.

Just saw the new trailer of Buried. The first one was a bit vague and I really can't figure it out. This one gives us a bit of story background and it also makes me more excited. I can't wait for this one. I know Ryan Reynolds is more of a comedy guy but I think he's going to be good on this one.

Here are the posters and the trailer:

Movie List: Eat Pray Love

I've already watched the trailer of this movie the first time it went out. I just don't think people were able to see it back then but now, it looks like there are a lot of trailers out.

It's a story of a woman trying to find herself after a break-up. It looks like a very promising movie with a lot of funny bits and I think overall a moving story where you'll end up smiling after finishing the movie.

Here are some posters and pictures from the movie and of course the trailer:

Movie List: Welcome to the Rileys

I always liked movies that seriously moves me. I think the one that I'm featuring is the best way to show you what I mean. Here's Kristen Stewart, who was in the latest vampire movie, Eclipse, which I haven't seen yet, playing a role of a stripper. I really don't want to tell you much as it will spoil the trailer. Here it is as well as some photos from the movie.

Movie List:: Rango Played (Read: Johnny Depp)

Upside of this film is that Johnny Depp will star in this movie. It's been a while since his last movie and there is no sign of any trailer of his other movie with Angelina Jolie. Can't wait for that.

Downside of this film is that it's an animated film so we won't really see Johnny Depp as he will be a lizard in this film. Yes, a lizard.
The trailer is funny, witty and entertaining. It makes you want to watch the movie now. So far, Johnny Depp films are all hits and I believe this one will be too.

Timothy Olyphant from Justified will be in this movie too. Also, Abigail Breslin from My Sister's Keeper and Nim's Island and Bill Nighy from Harry Potter and Alfred Molina from Spiderman and lastly, Isla Fisher from Confessions of a Shopaholic and Definitely, Maybe.

I'm not really that excited about this film but I will definitely watch it as soon as it opens. Hopefully, I will have the time. :)

Movie List: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Okay, so I'm really not a fan of Harry Potter. Maybe when it first started, I was kind of interested because it's actually a pretty entertaining read. I got to read the first four books then I got bored with it. It's kind of dragging but definitely very well thought of.

So, here's the poster and the trailer of the new movie (not sure if this is the real poster)

So of course, I have to include it in my movie list (which is also in my side bar) because I just have to see if it's good because it's the last book in the series. It will be shown in two parts. The first will be this December and the second part will be on July next year.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Movie List: Little Fockers

Yes, I know, I've been blogging more about movies nowadays. Haha.

Anyway, I've just seen the trailer of Little Fockers. OMG. Looks like another fun Christmas movie from Ben Stiller. I've known that it'll come out since last year and just to see the trailer is so exciting. There's a bunch of newcomers such as Jessica Alba, Owen Wilson and more.

So, what do you think? Me, I can't wait. I'm not sure if the poster is already up, will upload soon as it is.

Here's the much awaited trailer:

Movie List: The Green Hornet

I wasn't really a fan of comic series and all but this one is interesting. I got to watch the trailer of The Green Hornet which is played by Seth Rogen. Yes, that funny guy from Knocked Up. Believe me, I was a bit skeptical about him playing that role. But who am I to judge? I don't really know the story so maybe he's really meant to play that part.

Note: Cameron Diaz will be in this movie but it looks like it's just a cameo.

Also in this movie are Jay Chou, Tom Wilkinson from Valkyrie, Edward James Olmos and Christoph Waltz from Inglorious Basterds.

Here's the trailer:

Movie List: Red - Retired Extremely Dangerous

Thanks to FirstShowing.com, I saw the trailer of RED. First thing that shocked me is Helen Mirren holding a machine gun. How cool is that? From her role in National Treasure, The Last Station and Elizabeth, now she holds a machine gun and loves it. This movie looks promising (like very other movie posts I make) because it has humor which is a big plus, action and wit. The humor factor is kind of tricky because I'm not really sure if it's going to be as funny as other heist-ish movies such as The Losers and The A-Team. It also stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Karl Urban and Richard Dreyfuss.

The cast is obviously a mature one since they have to play retired CIA agents who is on another mission to save the world, or something like that.

Here's the trailer. Tell me your thoughts.

Note: No poster yet. Will upload when available.

Movie List: The Charonicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Thanks to excSHOESme, I was able to find 20th Century Fox's Facebook fan site. I got to see the newly released trailer of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I've included the trailer in this post so you could see how promising the new movie is.

When I was kid, I got to read the first book, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I thought it was an entertaining read until book two. I guess I had a lot of school works and other activities during that time that I wasn't able to read the second book anymore. I got shocked when I saw the trailer of the first movie. I almost thought it's not the same one but the title is exactly the same and it had a lion in it so it had to be the same.

I fell in love with the first movie and also the second one.

Here's the trailer of the third one. Enjoy!
