Chanel Rouge Coco in Legende & Taffetas Rose

I've had these babies for a while but only found time to swatch them recently. These are both pinks, one light - for everyday use and the other one is bright - for those fancy night outs. Both are from the Rouge Coco line - just like my favorite Gabrielle.
  

The tubes are so luxurious! Agree? Agree!

Legende is a very light pink but not sheer. This lipstick is pigmented but very wearable. It doesn't should look at my lips but more like MLBB (my lips but better). You can play it up with eye make up but can also be worn alone. The only down side to this is it becomes a bit drying after a while and you have to re-apply every three hours or so which is actually normal for me. It has bits of glitter too.

I had to Photoshop the last photo because the camera isn't capturing the true color. It looks red but this is the best that I could do. Haha! It's a very bright pink with a hint of purple. It really pops! Believe me! If only it's not too drying. :|

These lipsticks are $28 each in Duty Free but definitely more expensive in stores. I came across one blog where she asked whether to buy something bright and bold or a more "usable" lipstick when buying from luxurious aka expensive brands. I think I got the best of both worlds and I am definitely not regretting my purchase!

Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Cosmic Raspberry

I promised to show you guys the swatches of my new colors from Bobbi Brown but I just got my favorite color out of the dozen which I reserved from Bobbi Brown since they got out of stock the last time I was there. It's Cosmic Raspberry. It's super bright, most pigmented of all the colors I have and it's very long-lasting. No doubt about that. I tried eating and drinking and it didn't fade much.

It not very bright on the tube but very different when applied. I know some lipsticks have very bright tubes but when you apply it, it's either sheer or the color isn't too bright. However, with the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color collection, it's the opposite, all the colors look boring on the tube but when applied, they pop! 

I tried a couple of pictures and these are the best ones. Just note that this is so much deeper in person. It's perfect for every skin tone. When I had this reserved in Bobbie Brown Rustan's, I asked the SA to try it on me using their tester and I didn't want to take it out. It's just that I had to go to the office in the afternoon and I know this would be too bright for the office. I looove it!

 So much brighter and deeper in person.

Movie Review: Kung Fu Panda 2

Last weekend, I got to watch Kung Fu Panda 2. I was so excited because the first one was a hit though I wasn't able to watch it in the cinema. I just watched it on TV. Anyway, two trailers were out and it seemed funny. I love Po. He's so cute and cuddly.

This movie is really for kids. There were some funny parts but the other jokes didn't really make me laugh. The son and father part made me tear up a bit. So this movie is really for kids and the kids at heart. It's not totally a bad movie but not as funny as Ice Age or as cute as Monsters, Inc., Up and Wall-E.

Movie Review: Priest

A few weeks ago, I watched Priest with the BF. It's either this movie or a chic flick. I can't remember which one. I think I have short term memory loss, seriously. 

Anyway, we were so excited to see this movie because it has Paul Bettany. I also want to watch it because Maggie Q is there (I'm a big fan of Nikita).

The posters are nice, no? It;s like 300-ish but very dark and full of action. Well, not really. To tell you the truth, I slept during the movie. There were no wow scenes. The only part I liked was the beginning. There's nothing much to say alebout this movie because it was boring and the plot was so predictable. I miss movies with good stories and good endings. I think that endings are the make or break of movies. Remember Repo Men and Buried? The plot was so-so, not the best but not bad at all but the endings are unforgettable. By the way, X-Men First Class is showing this weekend! Can't wait!

Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Soft Coral

Last Friday, I finally went to Forever 21 in SM Makati to shop for shorts (hello beach) and some coverups. After shopping there, I was supposed to leave but my I had to pick up my mom so I had 1.5 hours left to go around. I read in one blog about the new lipsticks of Bobbi Brown so I went to Rustan's Cosmetics to check them out.

Here's a little background - I've never had a lipstick from Bobbi Brown before. I use their amazing concealer and pressed powder and one palette. That's all. So I was excited to try out their lipsticks. I believe there are currently 3 lines of lipsticks right now. There is the Lip Color which is their original, Creamy Lip Color which is supposed to be long-lasting and creamy and finally the new Rich Lip Color which is long-lasting, bright and very pigmented.

My favorite SA from Bobbi Brown, Bea, wasn't there at the time because she was on break. I was planning on just going some other day but I realized I have no where to go so I decided to try on some colors with Riel (I hope I remember his name correctly). He's super friendly and gives me advice on how to properly put on my lipstick. He even put some corrector and concealer on my undereye. I wanted one of the famous colors which are Bikini Pink and Cosmic Raspberry but both are out of stock so I asked if I could reserve it and he said yes. Yey for that. So there were other colors available and I tried it on. Guess how many tubes I took home? Guess!

Yep, I took home 4 with me and a few samples.

Ouch but worth it.

They look so gorgeous!

The first color I really wanted to try was Soft Coral because I have been in search for the best orange lipstick and I have found it, no doubt!

 

These seriously don't look impressive on the tube because they look dark or light but when you apply it, it just pops! Seriously, this is even brighten in person. Everyone who saw me said my lips look pretty and I agree! It's very summery and it's not the cheap orange lipstick. Very sophisticated but at the same time very young. I love it!

 I used this color the whole day - from 7AM till 5PM and I only had to retouch twice. I retouched because I want the color to be a lot brighter but if I didn't it would still have lasted for a long time. Plus, it did not come off when I ate and drank. Yey!

This is how it looks on Temptalia and the photo is more accurate than mine. This is really how it looks like in person. It's very bright and it really pops! My picture did not give justice to the color of this lipstick. :| I promise to take better pictures next time.

Italia Lipsticks in Strawberry & Burgundy

When my auntie and uncle arrived from the States two months ago, their pasalubong was of course cosmetics. I think my auntie knows that I am a make-up junkie and that new lipsticks and/or cosmetics will definitely make me happy.

I've never heard of this lipstick called Italia. I think they're drugstore brands because the packaging looks a bit cheap. Anyway, on to the colors.

Strawberry & Burgundy

Strawberry is a very frost pink with a lot of shimmer. The color is a bit sheer but with a few layers, you could really see the color. The only thing I really don't like about this is the frost and the shimmer.

The frost makes me look old. :|

The other color that I have is Burgundy which is a very deep and bright red. It's matte and very pigmented.

Check out the color difference with just one swipe. Seriously, this is very pigmented. It reminds me of my ColorStay Lipsticks in Soft Cinnamon.

This looks way way more pigmented in person.

By the way, for those with sensitive noses, these has a very strong aloe smell which I surprisingly find refreshing.
