All My Pinks: Pale Pink Lipsticks (1/3)

This is the first of three posts regarding my pink lipstick collection! First picture shows all the lipsticks I'll be reviewing. Three parts: Pale Pink Lipsticks, Toned Down Pink Lipsticks and lastly, Bright Pinks.
L-R: NYX Sparkling Red Lipstick, NYX Tea Rose, NYX Paris, NYX Fig, NYX Spellbound, Revlon ColorBurst in Carnation, MAC Viva Glam Gaga, MAC Chatterbox, Revlon Pink in the Afternoon, Revlon Twinkled Pink, TFS PK101 Moisture, TFS PP401 Semi-Matte
I'll be reviewing three lipsticks for the Pale Pinks. These are MAC Viva Glam Gaga, TFS PP401 Semi-matte and Revlon Twinkled Pink.
First off, the famous MAC Viva Glam Gaga (VGG). This is my go to lipstick when I want a toned down look but not too bare! I could practically wear this from day to night and doesn't dry my lips. It doesn't last that long on my lips, though. I like it because it's creamy and glides smoothly. No problem with this one. I definitely love it and I hope this won't go out of stock.
Second one is the Revlon Twinkled Pink. Yes, I know, it has a bit of frost but totally gorgeous in person. Just don't over apply it and it'll be amazing. This lasts longer on my lips and though it's a bit frosty, you need to apply 2-3 times to get a color because this is sheer. Pretty color but sometimes too loud.
Lastly, the TFS PP401 Semi-matte lipstick. I think they were kidding when they said it's semi-matte because this is as matte as you can get! As you can see in the picture, no shine, no frost, nothing. Just pure color which I totally love! It's a bit paler in pictures but amazing in person. This is a keeper. I just hate the scent. :|

So, which one to choose? I definitely recommend the TFS semi-matte lipstick and the MAC VGG. Those two are my go to lipsticks for all occasions that need pale lips! You can't go wrong with these two! Just be careful with the TFS lipstick because they're a bit drying but the color is amazing. For the VGG lipstick, the problem with that is it's not readily available here in the Philippines.

Perm Lashes at Let's Face It

It was my first time to perm my lashes. I've always wanted to but the salon I usually go to doesn't have perming. They only do extensions. Anyway, the branch I went to is the one in Greenbelt. I called them 10 minutes earlier to ask for their exact location and they were very friendly and accommodating.

When I arrived, they immediately asked what procedure was to be done. I said I wanted to have my lashes permed and they had me signed a waiver. After that, I was immediately escorted inside and there was a bed. Actually, a lot of beds squished together to accommodate a lot of customers. They asked to me take out my contact lenses because I guess that would irritate my eyes during the procedure. FYI, for those who have contact lenses, either wear your eye glasses or bring your own containers and solution because they would only provide you the container.

I got to lie down on my bed and they started doing it. I'm not sure what they used but it was like they taped my lids down, the technician arranged my lashes so they would be equally scattered. After that, which took a while, they put on some nasty smelling substance which I think was supposed to make it curled. She said that I have to wait 20 minutes and then she re-applied it and set it for 20 minutes more. After that, she took out everything and wiped all the excess away. Note that I had to close my eyes the whole time! Probably more than an hour of shut eye. I had my phone and earphones with me so that made the waiting easier.

Right away, you'll see the results. As you can see in the photos below, they are very much curled but I didn't expect it to be that short. I remember that when I used to curl my lashes, they weren't that short. Maybe it's because the curl was so round at the bottom part and that took a lot of the length out. Other than that, I'm happy with the results. On normal days, I wouldn't need to put on mascara because it's so curled. I actually have to buy a new volumizing mascara soon to maximize my permed lashes.

A week after the procedure, it still stayed that way without flaws.

For reference, here's my lashes prior to perming (It's like I have none!)

This procedure is great for girls who are always on the go and perming it for only PHP280 would definitely lessen the time you take to put on make-up and it became easier to put on mascara.

What do you think? Have you tried this procedure lately?

Celeteque Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash

Reason for buying: I've had stubborn blackheads and whiteheads for a while now. They're not that visible but when upclose, I bet some people could actually see it. EKK. I had to do something about it. This doesn't just call for a normal facial wash. I needed something with beads, something to scrub those yuckies away. I was at the grocery store buying some supplies for the house when I saw the beauty shelves. I looked for a facial scrub and Celeteque was the only brand that has a scrub other than Ponds. I prefer not to use Ponds because it's dries my skin. Yiykes.

Now, let's talk about the product.

Celeteque is an exfoliating scrub which you should only use every other day since it dries you a bit. It says on the box below that "If you experience dryness or irritation, use less frequently." It also says that it is gentle but does the job. What I think about it is it really is effective. After my first wash where I concentrated on my nose, my nose felt smoother and like there were no blackheads. The ultimate test was what happens the day after. I was shocked to know that the roughness of my nose was minimized and I was so happy because not only was it better to look at but it became smoother.

I followed the instructions and used it every other day and I really like it. FYI, like Cetaphil, it doesn't foam up which could mean that it's soap-free which I believe is good for the face so it won't dry you up. It also has vitamins C and E which is never a bad thing.
The facial wash is very watery unlike other brands where the texture is very heavy and thick. This runs down fast as you can see below and you can really see the beads at work.
I recommend this to people who needs exfoliating. I think this costs more than 100PHP. Not bad. I will continue using this until it runs out because I really need this and apparently, it's effective!

Review: Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps

I finally got to watch Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps yesterday even when I haven't watched the first movie. I've always liked Shia LaBeouf and Michael Douglas so teaming up wasn't a bad idea.

First, here are the poster and some shots from the movie:

The movie was only 2 hours but it felt like three maybe because the first part of the movie was quite slow, bordering boring. If you are not a wall street guy or not practicing or has not studied anything about stocks, finance or business in general, you might not be able to digest everything. I am currently taking up Economics and had a few classes on finance but still, I wasn't able to fully understand their jargon. However, you'll get the story, but not the specifics.

Acting wise, I wasn't thrilled. LaBeouf, Douglas and Mulligan were so-so, nothing fantastic about their acting. The story was good but not the best. Maybe the first one was better?

Let's see.

What do you think? Have you seen it?
