Movie Review: Inception

Let me start by saying that the trailer did justice to the movie. The movie was amazing! I haven't seen anything like it. I really don't want to give spoilers because I know that this is its first weekend here in the Philippines. Anyway, if you're planning to choose either Inception or Sorcerer's Apprentice, I say go for Inception. It is orgasmic. One of the best films I've ever watched. It'll make you think, smile a bit, then think again. It wasn't too hard to comprehend but it still makes you think, which is a big plus for me.

Actually, this movie, is not your typical fictional movie. So, for those that aren't too open minded, maybe you won't enjoy this movie.

Graphics and details are incredible. You can see in the trailer the exceptional graphics in the movie. It will not disappoint.

SPOILER ALERT

Let's go to the cast:
Leonardo Dicaprio from Shutter Island, is again, beyond exceptional. He gave an extraordinary performance and the role was perfect for him.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt from 50 First Dates and Uncertainty was the best dressed character in this film. I love how suave he is and also the implicit humor he gives off.
Ellen Page from the famous Juno was not that impressive.
Ken Watanabe, okay nobody really knows his name but his face is very familiar. He starred in Memoirs of a Geisha as the Chairman. His performance was okay. The only problem is I really didn't understand some parts because of his accent. Too bad.
Cillian Murphy aka The Scarecrow from Batman movies is also in this film. He wasn't a villain, really, as most of his roles would suggest. He's kind of a cutie too. Hehe.
And finally, Marion Cotillard, from A Good Year, Public Enemies and Nine, played Leonardo Dicaprio's wife. She didn't have a big role but her performance was brilliant as always.

Yes, the movie is a bit over the top but definitely worth watching. It's all about dreams and the subconscious. It's about going to dreamland, going to somebody's dream so you could manipulate their dreams and also their subconscious in a way. It's very intriguing because there are so many different twists, risks and adventures.

My favorite part is the ending. It will make you jump out of your seat as everyone in the theater screamed or gasped at the very end. Amazing. I will not tell you what the ending was. Just trust me on this one.

Here's the trailer and the posters:
